People will tell you there are all kinds of things you need to do before you start an internet business. And if you listened to all of them , you would never have time to start.
Truth is, there are really only 3 things to do. True, once you do these things, you will have more things to, do but for sure, you cannot start an internet business without these 3.
1. You need access to a website. Sounds simple — it is. But it is amazing the number of different ways you can get access to a website. You can have your own site you design hosted on your own server. You can use somebody’s site as an affiliate. You can start a blog on Blogger. You can start up a lens on Squidoo or a Hubpage on Hubpages. If you want you can even host a wordpress blog on wordpress itself or on any number of sites which run the Wordpress multi-user service.
There really are a lot of different ways you can have access to a website.
But somehow, someway — this is something you need for an internet business. There are people who will tell you you don’t need a website, but you know what, you really do.
2. You need something to sell. Don’t freak, not only are there a virtually infinite number of things you can sell for someone else and earn a commission for doing so, there are lots of things you can get and revise a little bit and then call your own to sell.
And, if you can write a simple email, you can write well enough to sell somebody something that they want. The really hard part about this, is chosing somehting to start with. From what I have seen, you are probably better off not starting out with “How To Make Money On the Internet” products. Not because they don’t sell, — they do — and have a huge, hungry market– its because there is a lot of competition in this market and if you are just starting out, you might like some cash in your pocket before you enter this very competitive market.
3. You need some determination and an ability to sort out the junk and the lies from the truth. If you are really going to make a living online (and lots of people do), you will need to try out a few things before you find one that really suits you. It is possible that the first idea you try to suit you for the rest of your life, but the odds are your ideas about you want will change. No harm in that , you just need to be able to be OK with your decisions if you don’t like the first thing you try.
And you will probably buy more than one thing and feel ripped off. The vast majority of folks who have businesses online are honest, hardworking and dedicated to great customer service — but some are not. Learn from both types and move on without beating yourself up. It is not worth all those trips to the emergency room.
That’s it. That’s all you need to start.
I can get you access to a program which goes over all your startup needs in greater detail than I have just done here. Its a good program, actually its the best I have ever seen and its pretty reasonable in price. I’ll do a little write up about it in a couple of days and you can see if its for you.
